MAUI DOGS . . .

DOG OF THE YEAR  2015

                                         FRANCESCA  LE  BON BON
                                                            2008  -  2015

Francesca Le Bon Bon's  happy and excitable  spirit  affected all who were around her. . . humans or dogs.
She made sure, her presence was known.
Her form of attention, was to quickly get one of her favorite toys to show-off!  Tossing her raggy-torn toy before anyone or dog to demonstrate her treasure or possession!
Once recognized, her increased excitement was satisfied.
Alpha in the pack,  was her idea of importance...a persona, whenever other dogs  were involved.  She assured the rest with an inner "growl" dogs  immediately understood
to "beware...I'm here!"

An independent spirit, she also was surprisingly  bashful particularly around social surroundings of people, may it be shopping or a party of people.  She would find a space that protected her from the sounds and touchiness of people.
Francesca Le Bon Bon knew how to make her own fun.
Sticks, large fronds found under fences, & fallen branches were creative toys she could spend many moments playing with

Francesca Le Bon Bon was only eight when she quietly passed-on.  She was discovered next to me, JudithCatherine, her Mommy,  laying on her side facing me.  Her stillness and her position gave away that her Spirit had left her.  Why?  Because she normally slept on her back with all four limbs raised up toward  the air.
So. . .at 4 a.m. when I reached-over to find her laying down "sideways facing me"  this difference of her position cued me
she wanted to be near me
to tell me she had left
for perfect health with Christ Jesus, her Creator.

Churchill Graham, her brother, another Mix Labrador Retriever, awoke and stared at me with Francesca Le Bon Bon.  He came over and "KNEW."
He jumped-up near Francesca Le Bon Bon, and with affection, licked and licked her all over her body.
I watched with compassion.
I watched with sadness.
I watched with numbness.
I watched not knowing what to do next, but to stare.

The morning hours passed,
The Lord Jesus had given me Answers on what to do.
I made arrangements.
I made them calmly with The Holy Spirit Moves
I made them  with Sadness.
I made them with thoughts of Perfect Health
for Francescan Le Bon Bon
 Now
A Perfect Kidney

We will see Francesca Le Bon Bon again. . .

Mushu Fontaine,
tiny,
but powerful with personal demands.
is cute and loves to be cuddled if held "correctly."
Her favorite activity is riding in the car, BUT on
the driver's lap!  Most happy on Mommy's lap.
When no one's looking, she roams the neighborhood
but stays close.
Mushu Fontaine is looking for something?
Could it be some good smelling food?  Think so!
She wears her new T-Shirt.
This is Francesca Le Bon Bon,
she had a Beach Day swimming,
a bath upon return, and now
a nap with a pillow she adores.
The giant of all breeds is the Irish Wolfhound.
His name is Moki Caesar whose favorite spot
is a sofa. . . "somewhat" his own if he decides so!
Hapa May is a female American Staffordshire,
and just loves to play and hug.  A beautiful pale
caramel shade who roams Waiehu Macadamia orchards
for great fun.
Hi'ilei does FEEL this TOUCH!
Our Hi'ilei again resting in the great room
after her Muscular Therapy
and waiting for for "daddy & mommy."

Mighty is an American Staffordshire
A winning show dog on Maui.

Well the giant of all breeds is the Irish Wolfhound,
whose name is Moki
next to him is Barbi, a tiny fluffy protector of Moki!
Barbi loves to play with  Moki who lets her do anything to him!
This is Legend O'Rourke,
a fawn Bull Mastiff
who is feeling "really" good with
muscular therapy on his back!

Hi'ilei Baz
a white female Maltese
who is independent and confident
in all she does.  She loves to kiss!

This is the FACE you see when she kisses
including the tiny pink tongue and wet nose!

Daisy Fontaine,
 a Beagle
knows this is a "set-up" to look cute for humans!
Her passive look is obviously saying,
"...let's get this over with, take the picture, and remove the floppy hat...!"

Daisy LOVES to eat, and knows how to
social when her Mommy and Daddy have social gatherings.
To social is to sit graciously

with her front paws uplifted
to join-in with the pupus!
Maio May
a Louisiana Catahoula Cur
has a handsome brindle coat and is 3 1/2  years.
Maio has the privilege of having lots of places to roam with
his pal Hapa in Macadamia Orchards.

Kona Miyagawa
a cream/brown Yellow Labrador
5 years of age, so intelligent, obedient and indeed
an ocean swimmer!  Kona's clear brown eyes are
alert to everything around him.  Much of Kona's awareness
is due to the love and compassionate behavior gifted by
his owner, Ian Miyagawa.

An active ocean swimmer!

I consider myself a disciplinarian, caring and loving dog owner and in this order!  My Labrador Retriever mix male is an active 9-year young dog. Swimming is a favorite sport, and loves running into the waves.
Want to include a video of Churchill Graham swimming:

Let's Share About Our Dog !

We all have a "dog story."  Why? Every dog  IS  a story!

A representation of a moment, a memoir, or a profile sketch.
We want to tell our story..
It is our human nature to be inspired, entertained, relate to emotionally, and enter the spirit of our dog.
We are tenderhearted for them...it hits our sympathetic chord and tugs on it to make a significant impression
How and what we convey is an important deliverance, a demonstration of our  feelings AND  the dog's.

We identify and label  them.
We speak on behalf of our dog's actions.
What or how we speak of them can be caring,  insensitive,  callous,  aggressive, or loving.

Which  are you?
